Modern Experimental Jazz works mostly from Meditation. This is probably Matthew Kay’s favorite jazz project, based in total immersion in exploration of harmony and rhythm. The band focuses on modal works, original songs, and creating atmospheric jazz. They are always welcoming new artists to share their music provided the works are finished and can be communicated in standard musical terms.
MXJ will be hosting Blues Boulevard Jams throughout the year.
